Spiritual Suicide Is Worst Than Physical Death

Our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” - The Book of Romans 5:3-5

by George X Lampkin, A Survivalist

Firstly, I personally am a test subject. I now believe that the worst thing in the world, is to believe in people who don’t have within them the commitment to stay rooted in principles that makes them exemplary in their private and public lives.  Oft times, we believe in someone who does not deserve our commitment.  When we examine that someone closely, we may find superficial success; a good job, a nice home, a nice car and nice clothes. But, when we look deeper into the character of that same person, we may find vanity, self loathing and loathing of others, narcissism and lack of empathy for others, a heartbreaker and home wrecker, and/or one who does not keep faith to his/her commitments to the principles he/she says he/she believes in.

The Book of James 1:12 reads, "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him."

The Journey 1

As a fellow survivalist, I decided to set out on a personal journey to find within me the qualities I could believe in again.  I took an inventory of myself and I found me again.  I am not going to say that it was easy.  Absolutely not! In fact, before I set out on this course, I was distracted with my own fears, my own tears of defeat and failures, and my own lack of confidence and self-esteem.  I was a wreck!  I was beaten up and left for dead.  Everyone in my life had abandoned me, and gave up on me.  These are just some of the things that kept me down, in the gutter.  Yes, I mean gutter.  I was living on the streets of Detroit, Michigan because I had no place to go.  I had no compass to guide my direction.  I was lost to myself.

It came a time in my lack thereof, existance - that I began to look at myself, and I examined the time-tracks of my life.  I saw patterns of behavior that I did not like.  I saw patterns of defeat that I did not like.  I saw patterns in my decision making that I did not like.  I saw where I cried and suffered the most.  I saw a mixed bag of contradictions in my personal life.

In short, I am going to tell you that I made up my mind to pull my self together, and line up my earthly life with my conscious understanding of God.  I decided to line up my spiritual compass with those who are walking the same path towards this God that I serve.  You can do the same!  It’s not easy, but I am living proof that this simple truth can be achieved in a short distant of time and space.  You just have to get your head around this sort of thinking.

Now to do this, it might mean that you will have to separate yourself from everybody you love and care for.  Prophet Abraham was told by his God to leave his family and go out into the desert.  Prophet Musa (Moses) found his God in a burning bush experience; but he was caste down from the throne of power and caste into the burning heat of the desert to die a slow death.  Prophet Jesus had this heart of gold, but he found himself nailed to a cross looking down at those he healed and blessed, calling for his death; as he found within him the courage to accept his fate to come back from the grave.

The Book of Hebrew 6:19 reads, "This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil."

All the examples above are some powerful reminders that we have within us this ability to challenge our sorrowful perdicaments in life.  It does not matter what the circumstances - you can do this.

Spiritual Suicide is NOT AN OPTION.  We have to step outside of the mixed messages we've been receiving. We have to pull ourselves away from all the negative chatter and the naysayers.  Sometimes, we have to be thrown out, into the darkness.  It’s terrible, I know.  Remember, I am a survivalist.

The Journey 2

L. Ron Hubbard said the first commandment, man recieved from the Creator was to SURVIVE.  If you find yourself at rock-bottom, make it your goal to SURVIVE.  Take stock of your situation, and come up with a plan. See yourself as YOUR God would have you.  Embrace it and OWN IT.  Don’t expect no one to believe in you.  You believe in the notion that God believes in you.  Be at PEACE with that.  It’s going to become apart of your core re-building block.

Remember this one thing! If you give your secret away to people who lack character, you will find yourself right back in a state of misery and confusion.  This is defeating and it can cause a permanent setback in your life.  This is spiritual suicide, too.

The Book of Psalm 62:4-6 reads, "They have counseled only to thrust him down from his high position; They delight in falsehood; They bless with their mouth, But inwardly they curse. Selah. My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.…"

Realize that you are not an average person.  You are not some mediocre person who wants to sit on the side-line, critiquing others who are traveling on the path of success and righteousness.  Realize that you are a lion-of-a-man or a lioness-of-a-woman.  You came from a long line of warriors from within your DNA.  You are a direct descendent from the very First Being.

Lastly for now, you are energy.  Stop looking at the physical self, for you will find yourself lacking in this or that.  See yourself as the smallest particle of energy.  It’s called an ATOM.  Yes!

You maybe small and insignificant to others, but you are a powerful - potential life force.  This is important!  Allah (God) willed himself from the very core of an atom.  He willed himself from triple-darkness.  He was self-created.  Let this one thing be at your core, when you decide to climb up and out of your darkness.

It’s all about becoming a light; a star; a beam of motivation; a charismatic force; a magnetic force; and a force to be reckoned with.  NOW, create a plan and set yourself up to execute on that plan.  Don’t do it for others!  Do it for God.  You owe it to God.  Give it Him, for He will give you back an incredible power that the world will not be able to resist in YOU.
